Classifica Giro d’Italia NextGen 2026, quinta tappa: Van Kerckhove maglia rosa, Finn sorpreso

La quinta tappa del Giro d’Italia NextGen 2026 prevedeva un circuito da ripetersi per otto volte, con la salita di Monte Procida (3,6 km al 3,3% di pendenza media) a fare la differenza. In un tratto in discesa nel finale è stato il belga Matisse van Kerckhove a sorprendere tutti e a riuscire ad alzare le braccia al cielo davanti a Nicolò Arrighetti, che era andato in fuga da lontano. Lorenzo Finn si è fatto stupire e ha tagliato il traguardo di Bacoli con un ritardo di undici secondi da quello che sembra essere il grande rivale per la vittoria finale.

Van Kerckhove ha conquistato la maglia rosa di leader della classifica generale con un margine di 15” sul connazionale Matteo Vanhuffel, 17” sul francese Aubin Sparfel, 19” sull’olandese Jurgen Zomermaand. Il migliore degli italiani è Mattia Negrente, che occupa la quinta piazza con un distacco di venti secondi dal leader. Lorenzo Finn accusa un ritardo di ventuno secondi alla vigilia del fine settimana decisivo.

Di seguito la classifica generale del Giro d’Italia NextGen 2026 al termine della quinta tappa. Venerdì 19 giugno andrà in scena la sesta frazione: previsto l’arrivo in salita a Monte Livata (15,7 km al 5,9% di pendenza media) che sarà determinante nella lotta per la conquista del trofeo, al pari della tappa di Guardiagrele e della cronometro conclusiva a L’Aquila.
